Vicki Lee Benson

She was born March 10, 1953 in Blooming Prairie, MN, the daughter of Clinton Hanson and Elaine Zierath-Hanson.

Vicki retired in 2008 as Benefits Manager for SIU School of Medicine after 25 years. She was a volunteer for St. Agnes School in Springfield

She took great joy in watching her grand-daughters play sports and enjoyed traveling, reading, food, wine and any event with family or close friends.

She is survived by a son, Jared Benson (Spouse: Danielle) of Austin, TX; daughter, Jacie Burt (Spouse: Carl) of Springfield; three grand-daughters, McKenna, Chloe, and Ella; four sisters; two brothers; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Valerie Hanson-Garness.

She made an anatomical gift to SIU Carbondale. Memorial Services will be held November 26th between 1-3pm at Worlein Funeral Home in Blooming Prairie, MN. Floral arrangements can be made through A Touch of Charm (507) 583-7637 or http://www.atouchofcharmonline.com/
