

Viola Marie Zeidler, 77, of Springfield died at 8:50 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Memorial Medical Center. Viola was born on June 16, 1930 in Lincoln. She married Paul I. Zeidler Sr.; he preceded her in death. Viola was all about family, she was a loving grandmother, and loved helping others. She worked at St. Joseph’s Home for many years before raising her family. She later worked at INB Bank as a Custodian until her retirement. Viola loved to cross-stitch, sew, and work on jig saw puzzles. She was a member at St. Peter and Paul Church, and helped at St. Vincent DePaul Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by two sons: Paul I. Zeidler, Jr, and Mark Anthony (wife Connie) Zeidler both of Springfield; five grandchildren: April Lynn Banning, Eric (wife Catina) Zeidler, Sara Zeidler, Ami Zeidler, Nikkita Zeidler; three great grandchildren: Angela Michelle Banning, James Taylor Banning, Issac Zeidler all of Springfield: and two step grandchildren: Bret and Bradie Norzit of Beardstown. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2007 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service. Liturgy of the Word will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Church, 1345 N. 6th St., Springfield with Rev. Msgr. Thomas Holinga celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s North Adult Day Care Center, 800 E. Carpenter, Springfield, IL 62702
