Virinda Lee Spencer

Virinda Lee Spencer, 91, of Brandon, Florida, formerly of Chatham, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at her residence. She was born February 1, 1926, in Westfield, IL to Date Lee and Emma Jenny Johnson Arbogast. She married Gerald Dean Spencer August 27, 1947 and he preceded her in death September 14, 2003. Her sisters, Margaret Davis, Maxine Wright and brothers Harold and Johnson Arbogast also preceded her in death. She was formerly a member of Chatham Baptist Church. Mrs. Spencer was a school teacher for many years. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Shirley (Joseph) Brod of Brandon, FL; son, Lynn (Susan) Spencer of Boonville, MO; grandchildren, Allison (Chad) Norgard of Brandon, FL, Andrew (Laura) Brod of Norfolk, VA, Manda (Brian) Spencer of Booneville, MO and Johnathan Spencer of Boonville, MO; great-grandchildren, Grace V. Norgard, Anna Norgard, Deanna Foster, Charlotte Foster; several nieces, nephews and cousins.Her family will welcome friends to a committal service at 10am, Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Chatham Memorial Cemetery, with Lynn Spencer and Jerry Weber officiating.
