

Vivian was born on January 26, 1944, in Springfield, the daughter of J.B. and Opal Turner Fowler.
She graduated from Feitshans High School in 1962. Vivian was a nurse’s aide and had also worked in California as a home-health provider. She was involved with the Springfield Muni Opera and the Springfield Theater Guild. Vivian was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, and she sang in the choir when she was younger. She loved animals, especially her cats, flowers, and collecting angels. Vivian also enjoyed crafting, playing cards, and scrapbooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Kathryn Guthrie and Juanita Hoppin.
Vivian is survived by her daughter, Angela (Curtis) Travis of Lodi, CA; son, Blake (Lori) Gabriel of Petaluma, CA; grandchildren, Colin, Lucas, and Faith Travis, and Ashton and Jaden Gabriel; sister, Penny M. Russel of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
A private family Celebration of Life was held.
