Wendy Elaine Buchloh

Wendy Elaine Buchloh, 62, of Springfield, passed away on May 13, 2023 at St. John’s Hospital. She was born on October 6, 1960 in Springfield to Walter and Joyce (Turnbull) Weed. Wendy married her high school sweetheart Lars Buchloh in Springfield on September 7th, 1983 and he survives.

She is also survived by her two daughters: Tara (Kevin) Lancaster and Lauren Buchloh, two grandchildren: Addison and Lilly Lancaster, her mother Joyce Weed, two brothers: Walter Weed Jr.(Sheila), and Wyatt Weed(Gayle) and one sister Kim McCausland(David). She was preceded in death by her father Walter Weed and one brother Kevin Weed.

Wendy worked as a customer service representative for the Prairie Heart Institute at HSHS. Wendy’s home had an open door for everyone at any time of the day or night with a plethora of food for all. She loved serving the masses and did it with a huge welcoming smile. She also had a knack for finding the best bargain at any store and was always proud to tell of it.
