Willeta Mae Kessler, 85, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday May 13, 2015 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. She was born on August 14, 1929 in Grove City, Illinois to Raymond Hume and Anna Mae Hunsley. Willeta married James O. Kessler on May 6, 1949 in Springfield and he preceded her in death on February 16, 2000.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Mrs. Kessler worked for General Telephone Company as the Supervisor for Food Operations, for Illinois Bell as an employee of Service Systems Corp, she was the District Manager of Food Operations with the Department of Rehabilitation for the State of Illinois, and she owned Little Houses Etc., a doll house business from 1982-1988.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday May 21 , 2015 at Lakeside Christian Church, 225 Toronto Road, with Nic Cook officiating.
