Nécrologie de Agustin Adol Santero
With deepest sorrow we inform you that Agustin “Toti” Adol Santero, of Springfield, Virginia -- a dedicated husband, father of three, loving son and friend of many, passed away suddenly on February 1st, 2023. Toti is survived by his beloved family: his wife, Nenette Villanueva Santero, his three sons, Kevin Anthony, Kim Augustine and Keizer Anvers, his mother, Celesia, his brothers, Audi, Joel, Ariel, and Arnel, his sisters, Russel, Ida and Sheila and many other cherished family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Rodolfo Santero and his brother, Glenn Santero. Agustin Adol Santero, 61, was born in Hinigaran, Negros Occidental, Philippines to Rodolfo and Celesia (Adol) Santero on July 1, 1961. He is also fondly called as “Toting” or “Toti” by his family and friends. A dedicated and loving husband, Toti was married to Nenette Villanueva for about 30 years until his passing in 2023. He received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Colegio de San Agustin (Bacolod, Negros Occidental, Philippines) where he is one of the University’s varsity players in basketball. In his early life, Toti worked in various odd jobs while studying in college. A very hardworking and devoted family man, he has worked as a machine operator, engineering maintenance, pipe fitter, pipe fabricator, tricycle driver, small store manager, welder, ramp agent and aircraft fueler. He has been assigned in construction projects located in Dhahran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Arzew, Algeria, Taiwan and in various provinces in Philippines. One of his unique accomplishments was he assembled his own tricycle sidecar from scratch. Through the years, Toti enjoyed playing basketball with his brother, sons, and friends, cooking for his family, and making friends wherever he went. He was a handyman, always there to offer support and assistance, especially in times of urgent house repairs and maintenance works being requested by neighbors and friends, He was a great cook and an avid sports fan from the time he was a young boy. He joined his wife and later immigrated to the United States in 2013. Later in life, he would often say and live by these two principles: 1) That one should do as they wish and have no regrets in the end; and 2) There is a time for everything, a time to be born and a time to die, when it is time for God to take you to heaven, it is your time, no one can fathom when God will take you from beginning to end. Toti’s passing due to a sudden heart attack while at work at the airport is a tragic loss to his family and his friends. He will be remembered for his love and dedication to his family and for his selfless and tireless energy in helping others and in his exemplary performance at every job that he was employed with. Family was always his greatest joy and source of pride. Toti was authentically and wholeheartedly there for those in his life. We take solace and comfort knowing that he is with His Heavenly Father. A private family moment service will be held at the Demaine Funeral Home in Springfield, Virginia.
