Angelo Sai Heyrana de la Cruz

Angelo Sai Heyrana de la Cruz, age 18, of Montclair, VA, passed away in his home on May 26, 2023, after a long series of illnesses. Angelo Sai was born on April 4, 2005, to Francis Louie de la Cruz and Kay Heyrana-de la Cruz in Ft. Belvoir, VA.

Angelo was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Freida de la Cruz.

He is survived by his parents, Francis Louie and Kay, his younger brother Gabriel, his grandparents Edgar and Lulu Marie Heyrana and Avita de la Cruz; his Uncle Peter, his Aunt Dev (Uncle Jay), Aunt Nicole (Uncle Angelo Reyes), and Aunt Jan (Uncle Mike), as well as his cousins Chloe, Quinn, Rowan, and Nolan, and a large extended family.

Angelo was known to his family for his strength as he overcame many health challenges, and he endured many hospitalizations throughout his life. In 2017, he underwent a life-saving tracheostomy, which gave him an additional 6 years to spend with his loved ones.

In addition to being cared for and loved immensely by his family, Angelo was cared for by many dedicated medical professionals and a wonderful team of nurses from Pedialac Nursing who always put his quality of life first.

Angelo gave his family many joyful memories and inspired strength and perseverance in those around him. He will always be remembered for his smile, which could light up any room and lift everyone’s spirits.

A visitation for immediate family for Angelo Sai will be held Friday, June 9, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA 22151.

Services will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church on June 16th at 11:00 am.
