Anna Evelyn Baker Savoye

Age 85, of Springfield, VA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 23, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Richard O. Savoye, Lt. Col USAF (Ret.); loving mother of Charles Baker Savoye (Andrea) of Silver Spring, MD and Helen Ann Minor (Francis) of Springfield, VA; grandmother of Autumn Savoye and Allen, Sarah, and Zoe Minor. She is also survived by her dear nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Mrs. Savoye served in the US Air Force, and was a retired Combat Flight Nurse. She later worked as a nurse in a private practice and owned Annandale Play Care for many years. She was a lifelong Cowboys fan, loved her native Texas, and enjoyed gardening and bowling. She adored her family and will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held at DEMAINE FUNERAL HOME, 5308 Backlick Rd., Springfield, VA, 703-941-9428, from 1:00-3:00 PM, on Saturday, December 7, 2013. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow the visitation at 3:00 PM. Interment will be held on a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
