

Bernadette was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 25, 1934 to Stanley Klock and Agnes Czajka
Bernadette attended grade and high school in Chicago back in the days of shorthand and typing. She married Patrick D’Agostino in May of 1967. Up until the age of 80 she worked in office administration for various industries from Insurance to Manufacturing.
She retired from Hallmark Ironworks in Newington, Virginia in 2014. She attended Saint Raymond of Pentafort Catholic Church since the parish was founded.
She enjoyed cooking and keeping house. Making her children laugh during Mass and then giving them “the stink eye” when they did.
Bernie loved watching the Baltimore Orioles on TV and in her later years binged old Western TV shows.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years Patrick; three children, William D’Agostino of Burnsville, MN, Sharon (Robert) Sabasteanski of Ashburn, VA and Cynthia (Mike Atienza) D’Agostino of Fairfax VA. Grandchildren Anthony (Kristi) D’Agostino, Claire D’Agostino (Matt) Nolan, Michael Sabasteanski, Nicholas Atienza and her great grandchildren Lily and Benjamin D’Agostino and Maverick Nolan. She also had many nieces and nephews. Bernadette is preceded in death by her parents, brother Chester Klock and sister Dorothy Klock.
There will be no funeral home visitation. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Raymond of Penafort Catholic Church (8750 Pohick Road, Springfield VA) on Thursday January 5, 2023 at 11:00a.m; the Rev. John DeCelles officiating. Livestream link below under Services.
Private burial will follow at Quantico VA National Military Cemetery. Arrangements are made by Demaine funeral home, Springfield VA.
