Beverly Ann May

Bev attended Oregon State University where she met her husband, Denny. After graduating she became an elementary school teacher, a job she adored. As an Air Force spouse, Bev and her family moved numerous times. In each new location, Bev quickly immersed herself into the community, and seamlessly formed and maintained life-long friendships.

When she wasn’t quilting, spending time with family and friends, volunteering in the community, or organizing her collection of buttons, Bev could often be found in her local United Methodist church singing in the choir, coordinating food for a church event, or organizing a prayer shawl group.

Bev is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Ialene Eaton, her brother Bob Eaton, and her son Christopher May. Bev is survived by her husband Denny May; her brothers Gary Eaton and Ron Eaton; her daughter, Shannon May, and son-in-law, Brian Wilt; her daughter, Angela Sons, and son-in-law, Rob Sons; and her grandchildren, Laurel May and Tyler Laker.

A service in memory of Bev will be held at St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church, 9203 Braddock Road, Burke, VA 22015 on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 1:00pm with a reception to follow.
