

Dan Carroll, 32, of Alexandria, VA, passed away on July 17, 2022. Born in Jacksonville, FL, he was a distinguished graduate of the University of Miami’s Herbert Business School, and was devoted to ‘Canes football. Dan worked as a financial analyst and was a member of Mensa International, the oldest high-IQ society in the world.
Dan was a brilliant young man and an avid reader whose interests spanned science, business, history, religion and sports. The son of a Navy family, Dan lived in numerous places around the country and overseas, and loved outdoor activities and exploration with his best friend and brother Tim. He loved nothing better than getting together with family and friends for good food and drink, laughs, and comradery. Dan is loved dearly by his family, and universally by all who knew him.
Dan is survived by his father and mother, John B. and Barbara Snyder Carroll, brother Tim Carroll, and his cherished aunts and uncles – Marcia Faulkner, Cynthia Snyder, Craig Snyder, Bill Carroll, Joyce Carroll, and Sue Andrews, as well as many cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 30 at 11 am at Demaine Funeral Home in Springfield, VA.
