Janice F. Childers

Of Burke, passed away peacefully on November 13, at the age of 82. Beloved mother of Sandra (late Jerry) Napier; sister of Eddie Ray Childers, Ruth Jolicouer, Dottie Clouse, Mackie Childers, and Jackie Childress; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Janice began working for Safeway in March 1980. She retired in June 2010 after a dedicated career, leaving as a longtime deli manager. Holidays and special occasions were Janice’s favorites. She could always be counted on to bake something wonderful, host the family meal, or come up with a unique gift. She loved gardening, shopping, and her dogs. Friends welcome on Monday, November 20 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Demaine Funeral Home, Springfield. A service to celebrate her life will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 21 at 11 am. Interment to follow at National Memorial Park, Falls Church.
