John R. Craft Jr.

John R. Craft, Jr., “JC”, “Crafty”, Age 70, resident of Springfield, VA passed away Friday, March 30, 2012 after a long illness. He was born in Alderson, WV to Jot and Effie Craft on July 12, 1941. He attended Benjamin Franklin University in Washington, D.C. John was retired from Washington Gas Light Company and employed by FCPS. He belonged to American Legion Post 1976 and The Grand Lodge of West Virginia. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy Craft; daughter, Cari Craft; sister, Dorothy Taylor; brother, Danny Joe Craft and grandsons, Brian Douglas Craft, Jr. and John Walter Craft, daughter in law, Tammy Craft, mother in law, Beatrice Page and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Douglas Craft, sister, Wanda Johnson and sister, June Pierce. A memorial service will be held at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA 22151 on April 12, 2012 with visitation from 3:00 to 4:00 pm and service at 4:00pm.
