Age 67 of Alexandria, VA. Born August 27, 1953 in San Antonio, TX. Died February 6, 2021 in Alexandria, VA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Helen (Varelas) Koutsares, and his brother-in-law, Nicholas Kladopoulos. John’s business development career began at Data Point Systems in Texas and eventually took him to the Pentagon in Washington D.C. where he met his true love, Margaret in May, 1989. John and Margaret married on July 13, 2005 and shared a beautiful fun-filled life together for 32 years. John bettered his neighborhood in his role as Vice President of the Island Creek Home Owners Association. He was an electronics and home improvement expert. He loved to work on cars and home projects, and he could fix anything. Everyone in the neighborhood knew that they could count on John for lending a tool, advice or help. John’s loving care extended to animals as well. Whether rescuing a frog, feeding the birds, or taking care of Buddy the Cat, he was a friend to all creatures. John's secret dream was to coach the San Antonio Spurs, and he often did so from his couch.
John was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. His smile and sense of humor brightened each day. He blessed his family and friends with his extraordinary patience, kindness, and gentle nature.
