Kathleen Ann Vandenheuvel

Kathleen was born in Deer Park, Texas to Ann Lou Lahr and Donald McClellan Lahr on February 12th, 1955. She graduated high school in New Brunswick, NJ as a member of the class of 1973.

She went on to graduate from Northern Virginia Community College with an associate degree in Business.

Kathleen married James Craig VandenHeuvel on May 5th, 1981. She worked for the family business, LawnMate Quality Lawncare, as an office manager for many years, then moved on to work at Zimmerman and Associates as an administrative assistant.

She was a member of the TOPS club, the Order of the Eastern Star, and earned a black belt in Uechi-Ryu (Okinawan Karate).

Kathleen is preceded in death by her father Donald McClellan Lahr.

She is survived by her mother Ann Lou Lahr, her brothers Rick Alvin Lahr and Brian Gale Lahr, daughter Dianna Katherine Fadley and son-in-law Ethan David Fadley, her sons Ryan James VandenHeuvel and Kurt Clayton VandenHeuvel, daughter-in-law Carrie Marie VandenHeuvel, and her beloved grandchildren Hannah Bristol Fadley and Mason James Fadley.

Funeral services will be held at St, John's United Methodist Church at 5312 Backlick Rd, Springfield VA 22151 on December 3rd at 1pm.
