

Kenyada Rishod Perry, age 34, passed away at Ft. Belvoir, VA on December 5, 2013. The cause of death was Hypoglycemia (low blood glucose). Ken was born November 19, 1979 at Gorgas Army Hospital in the Republic of Panama to Percy R. and Elmira L. Perry. He received Christ at an early age, and was baptized at the Sagamihara Christian Fellowship Church in Japan. He attended Lee High School and went on to graduate from (CTI) Career Technical Institute where he earned his certification as a medical claims processor, however; his passion for cars and working on Volkswagens lead him to his job as a mechanic at Sheehy Volkswagen .
Ken started Ta Kwon Do at the age of five, competed throughout the United States and attained the rank of 2nd degree black belt in Ta Kwon Do in November 1992. He loved basketball, riding motorcycles, working with vehicle audio equipment, working on cars, and collecting model cars. Ken was a person with a big heart and would go well out of his way to help anyone; especially children, as children and animals held a special place in his heart.
Ken is survived by his parents Percy and Elmira Perry ; brother Akeen J. Perry; grandmothers Anna Benson and Bernice Perry; his aunts Daisy, Abell, Lois, Elizabeth and Vanessa; his uncles Isaiah, Charles, Phil, Eddie, and Willie Anthony and his wife Faye; cousins Samantha, Tyrone, Cheryl, Charles Jr, Ursula, Tyrone Kevin, Ashley, Ariel and his loving, caring, and devoted very special friend Megan Manning and her children Tiffany and K.J.; and lifelong best friends Jason Turner and Amy Nance.
