

Former Scranton Pennsylvania resident Margaret McDade (Peggy) 85 died October 28, 2013 at her residence in Springfield, VA.
Peggy McDade was born September 24, 1928, in Scranton, Pennsylvania to Francis David Clarke and Mary Gallagher Clarke.
Margaret was married to Dr. John P. McDade in Scranton, Pennsylvania. They moved to the Northern Virginia area in 1958. They divorced after having three children. Peggy McDade stayed in Springfield, VA for the rest of her life.
While living in Springfield Peggy worked for 30 years as an Administrative Assistant for the Clarke-Hook Corporation in Chantilly, VA.
In retirement she enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Peggy liked to bowl, play bridge, spend time with her dogs and enjoy her many friends.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John (Jay) and Lynne McDade of Lakewood, CO.; son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Pam McDade of Fairfax Station, VA.; grandchildren, Elizabeth Dodson and David Arenz of Lothian MD; Madisen McDade of Fairfax Station, VA.; Collin and Devon McDade of Lakewood, CO.; and great granddaughter Abigail Dodson of Lothian Md.
Mrs. Margaret McDade was preceded in death by her sister, Suzanne Carroll; brother David Clarke; and her daughter Kathleen Rodgers.
"Her sense of humor and kind heart were an inspiration to her family. She lived her life with integrity and bravery.”
A Memorial Mass will be held on November 9, 2013 at 2:00 at Greenspring Chapel at 7410 Spring Village Drive, Springfield, VA 22150.
