Of Annandale, on September 21, at the age of 89. Beloved wife of 58 years to the late George F. Mistretta; caring mother of George D. (Diana) Mistretta, David G. (Laura) Mistretta, and Meg (David) Calderwood; dear grandmother of 7 and great-grandmother of 2; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Margaret was a proud North Carolinan, moving with her family to the area in 1949, and residing in Annandale for 50+ years. She was a dedicated homemaker, mother, and most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In recent years she spent time volunteering with local hospitals and schools, reading non-fiction, and discussing politics with her friends at Braddock Glen Senior Living.
Friends welcome on Wednesday, September 24 from 10 am – 12 pm at the Demaine Funeral Home, Springfield, where a service to celebrate her life will begin at 12 pm. Interment to follow at National Memorial Park, Falls Church.
