Trish, 46, left us suddenly and way too soon on Sunday December 4, 2011. A longtime resident of Springfield and Burke, she was full of life, making other people laugh and smile. Trish excelled in her career in government contracting, most recently to support service members in Afghanistan and Iraq. She loved animals and leaves behind her cherished dog Maggie and cat Josie. She graduated from West Springfield HS (Class of ’83) and University of South Carolina. Trish is survived by her mother Mary Ann of Springfield, VA, sisters Susan Thuma and Julie Lancaster, brothers Michael and Mark Lancaster. She joins her father Robert Lancaster, whom also left us too soon in February 2009. A truly caring and thoughtful individual, she will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2011, 7 to 9PM, Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road,Springfield, VA 22151. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Fairfax County Humane Society, or the Wounded Warrior Project. Funeral service date is to be determined.
