Paul D. Vespucci

Paul was born in Winchester, Massachusetts on March 2, 1949 to Amerigo Bernard Vespucci and Frances Amico Vespucci.

He graduated from Admiral Farragut Academy in St. Petersburg, FL, and went on to study Geology at The University of Florida where he obtained his BS and MS degrees. He continued his education at George Washington University where he obtained his PhD. He spent his career as an educator at Northern Virginia Community College.

He was an avid cyclist, a self-taught guitarist, a model ship builder, a painter, and he shared his interest of history with his family and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife Katy (Catherine A. Kokalas), his parents, and his brother Richard D. Vespucci. He is survived by his son Joseph P. Vespucci, his stepson Anthony C. Alpy, and his beloved granddaughter Savannah L. Vespucci, his sister, Barbara Henneberry and her husband John of Hampton, NH, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Rd, Springfield, VA 22151, on April 21, 2023 from 12:00 - 4:00 pm.
