Phyllis Ann Elliott

PHYLLIS ANN ELLIOTT (nee Nelson) of Florissant, age 88, died November 16, 2021. Born Cedar Rapids, Iowa, January 5, 1933. She was preceded in death by James Edward Elliott, her beloved husband of 62 years. She is survived by her children, Robert (Claudia), Richard (Christine), Douglas (Elizabeth), Michelle (Beverly), and Mary (Georg), and grandchildren Jessica, Jennifer, Lauren, Tom, Clayton, Jesse and Meghan. Phyllis devoted herself to raising five children and making a good home. She was known for her warmth and kindness. She loved having her children and grandchildren around her, and extended reunions with her sisters’ families. Phyllis was very active in the Bel Nor branch of the Community of Christ Church for more than 50 years, serving as Book Steward and printing the bulletins for over 30 years. She was also active in the Florissant Township Open Democratic Club, and as an election poll-worker. Phyllis loved to bowl with her team “The Unpredictables”, and later helped instruct novice bowlers. Daughter Michelle and her spouse Bev took care of Phyllis the final five years of her life, in Annandale, Virginia. Family suggests contributions to the Parkinson’s Foundation (www.parkinson.org). Memorial services Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 1:00 pm at the Community of Christ Church, 8324 Natural Bridge Road, Bel-Nor, MO.
