Robert Allan Kohls

On April 10, 2016, ROBERT ALLAN KOHLS passed away at his home in Springfield, VA at the age of 67. A native of Washington, D.C., he was predeceased by his parents, Stanley Fred and Nellie Mae Bartges Kohls. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife and companion of 33 years, Alice Chappell, as well as his siblings Joseph Warner of Annapolis, MD; Joanne (Daniel) Murphy of Hughesville, MD; Darlene (Dick) Bell of Zion, IL; and his two daughters, Maria (Jason) Kitzman and Teresa (Alberto) Garcia and their families. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Bob served his country for 12 years with U.S. Army Special Forces Operations and was a Vietnam Veteran. Following his service to his country, he was employed as an automobile salesman and sales manager in the metropolitan Washington DC area before retiring to perfect his golf game, expand his culinary skills, and become the shopping expert for family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Demaine Funeral Home on Monday, April 18 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm followed by a graveside celebration of life at Fairfax Memorial Gardens at 1:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention or The First Tee.
