Teresa Angela Penn

Teresa was born March 4, 1977 to John Stever and Karen Malloy in Washington D.C. Teresa spent her early school years in Virginia and Bonn, Germany where she not only met her future husband but also created many lifelong friends. Teresa graduated from Osborne Park High school in Manassas, VA.

Teresa remained employed throughout her illness for the Department of Homeland Security whom she’s been with for multiple years.

Teresa is survived by her husband Mike Penn, children Korsen and Kaela. Parents John Stever and Karen Malloy Stever. Her siblings Maryann Stever ,brother Timothy Harrison and his wife Trish. Sister in law Nadyne Penn. Mother in law Mrs. Leo Penn. Her Godparents Uncle Eric Malloy and Aunt Dr. Dana Barry. Special friends Jen Mitchell and Cindy Estep who were like sisters. Teresa is also survived by many Uncles, Aunts, and cousins who were all very close to her heart. She was preceded in death by her Father in Law Leo Penn, Grandparents Edward and Madge Stever and Daniel and Celia Malloy.

A very special thank you to Christine Wilson from Baltimore who not only opened up her home to Teresa during treatment, but also her heart and friendship. Also a thank you to Ohad Shiron for opening his home in NYC while Teresa continued to receive treatment. A very huge thank you to all family and friends who helped care for Teresa and to everyone who kept her spirits up during her illness. To her sister Maryann for arranging Dr appts, bringing her and being her voice when needed. Her brother Tim for giving Maryann a break when he could. Her parents, husband, children and countless family and friends who helped in any way.

A visitation for Teresa will be held Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA 22151. A visitation will occur Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA 22151. A funeral service will occur Friday, February 23, 2024 at 11:30 AM, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA 22151. A committal service will occur Friday, February 23, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Fairfax Memorial Park, 9900 Braddock Road, Fairfax, VA 22032.
