

Walter Floyd Bronder passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025. He was born February 13th, 1937 in Pittsburgh, PA to Walter and Bertha Bronder who preceded him in death. Walter has two sisters Connie (deceased) and Barbara Jean. He was a graduate of Carrick High School in Pittsburgh, PA. Walter enlisted in the Marines Corps shortly after graduation. He was married to Deanna Sprague in August of 1958 who proceeded him in death on April 4, 1979. Together they had three sons: Steven Bronder, wife Linda, sons Steven, wife Holly, grandson Tucker, Travis, and Cory; Jeffrey Bronder, wife Beverly, daughter Deanna, sons Clinton (deceased), and Hunter; and Joseph, wife Cynthia, son Ryan.
After his service in the Marine Corps he began his career with Southland Corporation and rose to an Executive Position at the Regional Level. After retirement he began managing the Bureau of Engraving and Printing Gift Shop in Washington, D.C., utilizing his retail expertise and people skills that caused the gift shop to thrive. Walt had a way with engaging people and making them feel seen and included in a room full of people. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Washington Nationals and traveling to the Nassau Bahamas, but most of all he loved his family. Walter will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
