Beloved husband of Donna Gray Shelton for 47 years; caring father of Scott, Derrick (Megan), Michael, and Richard; dear grandfather of 5 and great-grandfather of 1; brother of Shirley Leach and Judi Thiebaut; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends welcome at Demaine Funeral Home, Backlick and Edsall Roads, Springfield, on Wednesday, August 14 from 6:30-8:30 pm and on Thursday, August 15 from 10:30-11:30 am. A service to celebrate William’s life will follow on Thursday at 11:30 am. Interment National Memorial Park.
