Betty is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Alvin Hoppe; children, Russell (Karen) Hoppe, Debbie (Darryl) Weiss, Laurie (Jerry) McDonald, and Michelle (David) Meisenheimer; grandchildren, Derric (Mindy) Weiss, Dallas (Tony) Spinale, Nicole (Jason) Stephens, Joe McDonald, Derrin Weiss, Andrew McDonald, Grant Meisenheimer, and Gage Meisenheimer; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Lincoln; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Audrey Bowser; and her sisters, Faith Bowser, Frances Williamson, and Peggy O’Hara.
Betty loved to take care of others in many ways, and was always there for her family to make sure that their needs were met. She was a very talented quilter and expert seamstress who enjoyed creating clothing for her family, most especially ensembles for her children’s weddings. She also loved cooking and baking, and will be most fondly remembered for her delicious Italian-inspired meals and her beautiful wedding cakes. However, the most cherished times of her life were the moments spent with her family and friends. She was a wonderful woman with a great sense of humor who will truly be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Memorial donations may be made in Betty’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
