

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Riner, her parents Anna Vasel (nee Czmarko) and Henry F. Vasel, and by her sister Joan (the late Jerry Osment) Bernard.
She is survived by her loving children, Kimberly A. (George) Bishop, Thomas T. (Donna Bernsen) Riner, and Michael J. Riner; her siblings Henry (Doris) Vasel, Helen (the late Tim) Pitchford, John Vasel, Kathleen (Steve) Felstein, and Christine (Dennis) Cummings. She was a cherished grandmother to six grandchildren and an adored great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren.
She will be remembered as a loving family matriarch, a devoted aunt, a cherished cousin, and a loyal friend whose warmth, strength, and kindness touched everyone who knew her.
Betty was an avid supporter of Visions in Performance for over 20 years, often helping with stage props, costumes, transportation, chaperoning and participating as an extra in stage performances. She enjoyed gardening, making crafts and sharing her artistic talents with others. Betty was employed at Florissant Valley Community College bookstore for over 40 years.
Services: Friday, December 12th, 2025, 10:30 AM at Alexander White Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 St. Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, MO 63074. Inurnment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery to follow.
