Chester “AL” Crews, was born in Dyersburg, Tennessee on August 13, 1940 and passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2011. At the age of (3) his family moved to St. Louis, MO and resided there from then on. He was the last of 10 children born to Hulie and Bertha Crews whom preceeded him in death. He is preceeded in death by his wife, Sharon Crews, 1 son Sean, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Chester “AL” leaves 1 son Allen (Laura) and 2 grandchildren Nathan and Allison Crews, 1 daughter-in-law Tanya Crews and Granddaughter Lacy Crews, 3 daughters Sheila (Mike) Conrad, Diana (Bill) Nuyttens, and Sherry (Tim) Sandnes, and 3 granddaughters Bridget Lawless, Laura Strange, and Heather Buchanan, great granddaughter Chloe Lawless, 1 sister Naomi Ruth Trammel, 1 dear friend Linda Denny, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Chester “Al” retired from General Motors in Wentzville, MO after 31 years.
SERVICES: Funeral 11am Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 St. Charles Rock Rd., St. Ann. Interment Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. Visitation from 4-8pm Friday, July 22, 2011 at the funeral home.
