Dale Stephan Kruchowski

Dale “Butch” Kruchowski died in Maryland Heights on May 27, 2021. His memorial service will be held at 3 pm, Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home at 11101 St. Charles Rock Road in St. Ann. Visitation will be from 1 pm until the time of service.

Dale was born on December 15, 1946, to Stephan and Wilma Kruchowski. He was raised in St. Ann, Mo. and attended Ritenour High School in Overland, Mo. graduating in 1965. Shortly after high school, he met Carol Meyers. Dale and Carol were married on May 18, 1968, at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church in Overland, Mo.. He subsequently served in the Navy Reserves. Dale and Carol raised 6 children.

Dale was first and foremost a loving father, grandfather, and a good friend to many. He was a music lover and loved to sing around the house. He was passionate about hockey and was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Blues. He loved live sports, attending many indoor soccer games, hockey games and taking every opportunity to visit Busch Stadium to see the Saint Louis Cardinals.

Dale loved to fish. He enjoyed traveling later in life. His favorite destination was the home of his daughter Teresa, in San Diego, CA. Dale was a friend to animals and spent endless hours feeding and watching the birds in his backyard and enjoying his cats.

He survived by his wife, Carol Kruchowski; his children, Andrea Wolz; Peter Kruchowski; Teresa Kruchowski Baker; Sean Kruchowski; Catherine Kruchowski; and Stephanie Kruchowski; his brother, Kenneth Kruchowski; his grandchildren, Emily Reed; Maria Graffigna; Molly Wolz; Madison Wolz; Charlot Mae Graffigna; Ivy Kruchowski; Avery Thomas; and Violet Graffigna. He is preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Kruchowski and father, Stephan Kruchowski.
