Darlene was the beloved daughter of the late William E. Doll Sr. and the late Lucille Carrie Doll (nee: Smith); loving sister of William E. Doll, Jr. (Patricia), Shirley Herr, and the late Carolyn Runge (Warren); and dear aunt of Sheri Sonko, Connie Burris, Carrie Vandiver, Steve Runge, Mike Runge, Rich Runge, Laurie Lowery, Karen Umphrey, Sandy Renshaw, Donnie Renshaw, Gary Renshaw, and Danny Renshaw. She is also survived by many great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Darlene loved to spend time with and be surrounded by children, especially her nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed coloring, putting puzzles together, playing with Barbies, and playing board games. Darlene was a very kind, loving, bubbly and gentle-natured lady who didn’t need much more than the love of her family and quality time spent with them. She will truly be missed by all of her family and friends.
Memorial donations may be made in Darlene’s name to the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis.
