Donald J. Creamer passed away on November 7, 2023 at St. Peters Manor at the age of 86. He was a resident of St. Peters Missouri for over 50 years. Don was born on January 11, 1937, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Ben M. and Anna (Sessock) Creamer.
Don and Merilene (Chitwood) Creamer were united in marriage on June 6, 1959 and shared 64 years of marriage. Together they raised three children: the late Donald Ray Creamer Jr., Nina (Eric) Medlock of Osage Beach, Missouri, and Tim (Debbie Elliott) Creamer of Cottleville, Missouri. He was a loving Papa to his five grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Ryan and Quinton Medlock and Grayson and Aviana Creamer. Don was preceded in death by his son, parents, and two half-sisters, Nadine Contreras and Dolores Pilsl.
Don graduated from Soldan High School in 1956 and served a brief term in the United States Navy. Don worked for the airline industry in 1959 and retired after 40+ years of service. He began his career with Ozark Airlines working as both a grounds crewman or as a ticket agent. Ozark Airlines later merged with Trans-World Airlines (TWA) in the 1980’s and Don later retired at the age of 62. Don enjoyed his retirement years. He spent most of his time with family, playing the electric guitar, hunting for a deal at flea markets or flying off to destinations using his flight simulator games. Don loved the Lord and was excited about meeting him one day.
The family will hold a private gathering in the near future. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or American Heart Association. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.alexanderstlouis.com for the Creamer family.
