Dorothy Lorraine Graveman, 86, of Florissant, MO passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 8, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Gladys (nee McCool) Graveman; siblings, Charles (Lucy) Graveman, Arnold (Bertha) Graveman, and Dolores (Vernon) Gronewald. Dorothy is survived by her loving nieces and nephews, Ruth Ann (Ron) Bauers, Patricia (Rick) Cook, Debora (Jerry) Warren, Linda (Greg) Klutenkamper, Mary (Steve) Barteau, and Norma (John) Sarnes (the late Ken Gauvain); and many great nieces, nephews, and friends.
Though Dorothy was born deaf and mute, she never let this define her. She was incredibly social and was often the life of the party. She really enjoyed playing Bingo, bus rides, bowling, and arts and crafts. She participated in the bowling league through Delmar Gardens North and was a faithful member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Overland. She especially enjoyed the luncheons with the ladies as a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a joy to so many and will be missed.
Friends may visit on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon at Alexander White Mullen Funeral Home in St. Ann. Interment will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Expressions of condolence may be offered at www.alexanderstlouis.com and memorials are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association. The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to the staff at Delmar Gardens North in Florissant for the many years of loving care they provided for Aunt Dorothy.
