She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary (nee Durczak) Szuba; her loving husband, William Hatina; precious great granddaughter, Zoey; and 8 siblings. Elizabeth is survived by her son, William J. “Bill” Hatina of Florissant; daughter, Vickie Pollard of Ferguson; grandchildren, Elliott (Elise) Winn Pollard, Vivianne (Keith) Young, Xenia and Emily Hatina; and a great grandson, Oliver Young. She was a dear mother, wife, aunt, cousin, and sister.
Ms. Hatina was a proud World War II veteran serving in the US Naval Service and a member of the WAVES. After the war, she was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and worked for the Army/Navy Records Center. She enjoyed knitting and was an avid reader. She had a deep love and dedication to her family and she will be missed.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in St. Ann, MO on February 27, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Humane Society of Missouri, 1201 Macklind Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri 63110.
