Elsie Marie Hansen, age 95, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. She was born March 15, 1928. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Hilmar “Bill” Hansen, her mother, Ida (nee Wiedekamp), a sister, Margaret Archer, along with a nephew, William Seibel, and a great-nephew, Corey Maher.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her step-children, step-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will truly be missed by all that knew her.
Elsie lived her life to the fullest. At one time, she belonged to a bowling league, and was a proud member of the “Red Hat Society.” Elsie spent forty-three years working for Union Electric. She and her sister, Margaret spent a lot of time at their church helping where they could. The ladies were known for their delicious desserts. Elsie enjoyed crafting, she had an amazing talent and would knit outfits, sweaters, and hats for family and friends. She was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. Elsie loved going out to eat and if there was no room for dessert, she took it to go.
A visitation for Elsie will be held Monday, July 24, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Alexander - White - Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 Saint Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, MO 63074, followed by funeral service at 12:00 PM. Elsie will be laid to rest with her beloved, Bill at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, 11101 St Charles Rock Rd, St. Ann, MO 63074.
