Jane S. Thompson passed on May 26, 2026, at the age of 100. She was born on August 31, 1925, to Henry and Ella (nee: Martinsen) Speetzen. They have preceded her in death, as has her beloved husband Roy Y. Thompson, her brother Clark Speetzen (Helen), and her best friend Emma Minzes. Jane is survived by her loving nephew Thomas Speetzen, her cherished stepchildren and grandchildren, dear cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Jane grew up in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, and after high school attended business school in Denver, Colorado. Jane was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Independent Order of Foresters. She loved gardening. She also enjoyed square dancing and ballroom dancing - and she met Roy at a public dance club event. Jane and Roy enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing, especially with her having grown up in Wyoming, riding horses and being out of doors.
Jane was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and especially her dinner friends at Village North Retirement Community. She will be laid to rest at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary and Cemetery, Phoenix, Arizona.
