Linda Bates

Bates, Linda Lee (nee Pugh), age 84 of Dardenne Prairie, MO, passed away on March 31, 2025. Linda was an incredibly sweet person who had a great faith and love of life. She never complained about her situation no matter what challenges she faced. She always thought of others and never missed sending greeting cards to family members and friends on birthdays and special occasions.

Linnie (affectionately called by her family) was born October 27, 1940, in St Louis, MO. Linda graduated from Ritenour High School. She retired from Sabreliner Corporation after working 23+ years as a Junior Analyst. Linda enjoyed taking course work at Florissant Valley Community College. She volunteered in the Ritenour School District for over 5 years as an Oasis tutor. Linda was active in local leadership in the TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) organization and attended the local library book club. She enjoyed reading and oil painting. And following a stroke, continued painting with watercolors with her left hand and writing short stories and poems. Linda had two children whom she always loved dearly. She is survived by her daughter, Julie E. Fait (James), dear niece Connie (Jerry) Morehead and grandniece Meredith (Colin) Bensman and great grandniece Lindsey Bensman, grandnephew Blaine Morehead; nephew David Ellebrecht (Joy); grandnieces Erica (Cody) Smith, and Amy (Tyler) Nielsen, and great grandnieces Charlotte and Claire Smith; great grandniece Abby Nielsen and great grandnephew Tanner Nielsen. Linda is preceded in death by her son, Drew C. Bates, grandson Christopher J. Fait, and sisters Dolores (late August) Ellebrecht and Mildred (late Bill) Frazer, nephews Michael and James Enright

A visitation for Linda will be held Monday, April 7, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 Saint Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, MO 63074, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
