Mrs. Bredenkamp was such a good friend to my mother, Georgene Short. Mom admired her courage and spirit.

So sorry for the loss of your mother.  I too grew up in Ferguson (on Waterford) and went to kindergarten (Vogt School) with Rena Bredenkamp.  I remember your mother too.  She was so sweet.  And the family house was huge.  I remember that I would spend the night, and everyone had fans going.  I guess there was so a/c, but it sure was an amazing home.  I remember we went on the Admiral once, and I think it was for Rena's birthday.  Such good times, but then we moved the next year to Florissant.  Again I'm so sorry for the loss of your mother.  I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Theresa and family, you are in my thoughts and prayers...I remember Aunt Marilyn well.  I am very sorry for your loss.  Your mom will have Thanksgiving dinner at the finest table there is.

My family lived on Royal Avenue in Ferguson until I was 8. But I have never forgotten Mrs.Bredenkamp, her family and their big house at Hereford and Nancy Streets. I remember that they had 12 kids by the time my family moved away. I was always over there. I am so sorry.

My condolences to the entire Bredenkamp family.  I grew up with Carol and went to school with her at St. John and James 1st grade through 4th grade.  Mrs. Bredenkamp was always very very nice to all of the kids (no matter how much we were getting on her nerves).  She was always very caring and patient.  I have some very fond memories of those years with the Bredenkamp family thanks to Mrs. Bredenkamp.  She is will be missed by many.

Although we can't be there, our thoughts are with you all during your time of loss. One of my fondest memories during high school was going sledding around the Ferguson parks with Denyse, Mary and Barb and going back to their house where Marilyn had cauldrons of hot chocolate and cider, enough for several dozen people! When Debbie and I returned to Ferguson with our family, Marilyn was always so kind, welcoming and supportive.

Remember your first camping trip when you played cards with the Carpenters?
I am one of the ladies who frequently had breakfast on Friday mornings with your mom.  I will miss her.

Marilyn was the sweetest person.  She was especially kind to my mother during mom's difficult last years.  I will always be grateful to her for that. I'm sure you were always proud of her also.

I knew Marilyn as a kind, caring, and sweet person.  She was much beloved by Roger for whom I worked as an English teacher at McCluer High School.  I offer my condolences to her family and especially to my former student, Henry.

To All the Bredenkamp family, I'm sorry for your lost. Your mom was a remarkable women. Every time I came around to get Patty, I could see her strength and kindness. I kept up with your family thru Pat & Ron and knew how close you all were. Take strength in each other during this time. Remember she is smiling down at your now with your dad and Kathy.

I worked for Roger as his secretary at the Ferguson-Florissant School District at the GED Center. I did not meet all of your family but I felt I knew most of you thru him. You were always in the center of ALL of your family stories and activities. My condolences to all the family.
