

Mary Louise Cargal, born on November 20, 1930, in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on April 25, 2025, in Florissant, Missouri. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Mary was a devoted wife to her late husband, John Cargal, with whom she shared many cherished moments while dancing together. Her life was filled with joy and purpose as she raised nine children, imparting her love and wisdom throughout her family.
She delighted in playing bingo, spent hours crocheting beautiful pieces, and enjoyed solving puzzles. These interests filled her days with pleasure and creativity.
Mary is preceded in death by her loving parents, Harvey and Pearl Cole; her dear husband, John Cargal; sons John Cargal Jr., Larry Cargal, and Lynn Cargal; brothers Jim, Tom, and John Cole; and sisters Dottie Moberley and Judy Cole.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving children: James Cargal, Susan Cargal, Phyllis Bowers, Donna Voyles, Laura Mathis, and Mary Mathis. She was also blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her spirit and memory. Mary is also survived by her sister Marie Sims and brother Dean Cole.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 9th, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Alexander White Mullen Funeral Home, located at 11101 St. Charles Rock Rd, St. Ann, MO 63074. A memorial service will occur on Friday, May 9th, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Alexander White Mullen Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mary’s honor to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Mary’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family and friends will remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Her memory will be forever cherished.
