Richard L Cordes

Richard Louis Cordes was born on February 26, 1943, and passed away on March 1, 2025. A beloved husband, father, stepdad, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend, he will be missed by many.

Rick was a lover of all sports including his favorites: Cardinals, Mizzou football and basketball, and Blues. He loved trivia, Jeopardy, black jack, and becoming an expert at lots of random things. Rick loved spending time with family, friends, and hearing about his grandkid's latest adventures and accomplishments.

A proud Army veteran, Rick worked for Edison Brothers for 20+ years, then went on to careers with Central Hardware and Contico before his retirement.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Esther (nee Fleischmann) Cordes. He is survived by his love, his wife of 33 years, Sheridan (nee Shepardson); daughters Natalie (Bill) King, Debbie (Doug) Conger, and Angie Puckett; stepdaughters Peggy (Lewis) Woodward and Sandra Darr; grandchildren Adam (Abby) Woodward, Gwendolyn King, Graham Woodward, Kylie Puckett and Owen Puckett; and siblings Ronald Cordes and Elizabeth Bradley, nieces, nephews, and longtime friends.
