

Rich was the beloved son of the late Frank J. Schoenborn and the late Lillian M. Farber (nee: Brown); loving husband of the late Helen B. Schoenborn for more than 55 years; devoted father of Glynelle Wells, Rick (Carol) Schoenborn, and Ron (Lena) Schoenborn; cherished grandfather of Deanna Schoenborn, Ricky (Shauna) Schoenborn, Davy (Angie) Watkins, Joshua Wells, Sarah (Greg) Taylor, Stacey Watkins, Tracey Watkins, Jacob Wells, Carri (Chris) Livingston and Austen Schoenborn; treasured great-grandfather to 31 great-grandkids; and dear brother-in-law of Bert Schoenborn and Bob (Shirley) Aldrich. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rich is also preceded in death by his siblings, Vernon (JoAnn) Davis, Bernice (Cecil) Wilson, Bob Schoenborn, Don (Loretta) Schoenborn and Dorothy (Marvin) Gorman; and 2 step-brothers, Ray Farber and Russell (Georgia) Farber.
Rich proudly served his country in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. After his military service, he worked at McDonnell Douglas for a short time, where he was a member of their men’s choir. He then went to school to become an auto mechanic and graduated from Bailey Tech. After graduating, he worked as a mechanic and later went to work for General Motors. He worked for GM for 20 years before retiring in the early 1980’s. When Rich wasn’t working to provide for his family, he enjoyed traveling with friends, singing, drawing and watching birds on his back deck. He was an avid history buff and car enthusiast. He was a believer in Jesus Christ and accepted Jesus as his savior. He was a past member of the Church of the Nazarene and was currently a member of the Freedom Church in Dixon, MO. Most importantly, Rich loved to spend quality time with his family. He will truly be missed by all of his family and friends.
