

Robert “Bob” Harold Dickman, 81, of Maryland Heights, MO passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at his residence. Bob is preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Mary Carolyn (nee Kiely) Dickman and his sister Marianne (Robert) Feldewerth. He is survived by his children, Michael (Theresa) Dickman, Daniel Dickman, Theresa (Wade) Blackwell, and Connie (John) Doering; grandchildren, Bryan Dickman, Sarah (Micah) Hainline, Jesse (Lauren) Blackwell, Amie Blackwell, Elizabeth Blackwell, Danielle (Jordan) Lake, and Kathleen Doering; great grandchildren, Asher and Calvin Hainline, Levi and Zeke Blackwell, and Mercer Lake; his sister, Nancy (Dr. Donald) Walkenhorst; and loving uncle to Bradley, Deanne, and Brian Walkenhorst; and loving uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
Bob was born on March 10, 1935 in St. Louis, MO to Harold Francis and Dorothy Mary (nee Hubert) Dickman. He married his wife, Mary, in 1958 and worked as a draftsman to support his family. Bob had many passions and remained very active throughout his entire life. He coached his son’s baseball teams and was the Commissioner of Baseball for the Bridgeton Athletic Association. He was an avid jazz and classical music enthusiast with quite the extensive record collection! Bob loved baseball, horse racing, music, and was a talented painter. He really enjoyed learning to play the piano after his daughters bought him lessons late in his life. His kind spirit and zest for life will be missed.
Friends may visit on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 2:30 p.m. at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home in St. Ann. He will be laid to rest beside his wife at Mt.
