
Ruth Imogene Mandry, age 95, went to her heavenly reward on July 16, 2013, at Trinity Health Care in Round Rock, Texas. She was born to parents Charles and Ruby (nee Lipe) Turner on March 4, 1918, in Carthage, Missouri. Ruth moved to Moberly, Missouri, in 1926 or 1928 and in 1930 moved to Huntsville, Missouri where her parents owned and operated a restaurant. In 1935 she married her sweetheart, Raymond Daniel Mandry. They lived in Huntsville, Missouri, for a short time and then moved to St. Louis, Missouri, in 1941. In 2000, Ruth moved to Texas to be close to her daughter. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Ferguson.
Ruth is survived by two daughters, Harriet (William) Emmons of Thrall, Texas, and Dorothy (Carl) Burnley of Marionville, Missouri; and four sons, Kenneth (Sharon) Mandry of Florissant, Missouri, Larry Mandry of O’Fallon, Missouri, Richard (Nancy) Mandry of Alton, Illinois, and Kevin (Emily) Mandry of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, and eighteen great-great-grandchildren.
Ruth is predeceased by her husband in 1985; brother Charles Turner Jr, a WWII veteran, in 2007; and daughters-in-law Jean Mandry in 1989 and Dana Mandry in 2003.
Visitation will be at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home 11101 St. Charles Rock Rd, St. Ann, Missouri from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2013. A funeral service will be conducted on July 22, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. also at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home. Burial will be at Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens 2000 N. Pennsylvania Ave, St. Louis, Missouri, 63133.
