Shirley Lee Cantriel

Shirley Lee Cantriel, age 78, of Florissant, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. She was born on February 13, 1945 to the late Lester and Frances McCollough (nee Goodgasell). In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her brother, Bill McCollough.

Shirley was the sister of Betty Stewart, of Florida; aunt to Drew Stewart of Virginia, Sharon Johnson (Micheal) of Virginia, and Paul Stewart ( Michelle) of Virginia, Scott McCollough (Christina), Kristine Davis (Daniel), Brad McCollough (Monica), Shawn McCollough (Jennifer); great aunt to Dean Stewart (Laura), Cory Johnson (Kelsie),Jacob Johnson (fiancee Bree), Tyler Stewart (Karey); great great aunt.

She was a member of the Arlington United Methodist Church. Shirley retired from the Kirkwood R-7 School District where she taught for 37 years. She loved her job and all of the kids. Being a kid at heart herself she was known as the "fun aunt". Her nieces and nephews will tell you that she had the best sense of humor and loved to joke and have fun. Shirley had a love for cats. She also was an avid reader and even worked part-time at a bookstore.

A memorial service will be held on April 8, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Arlington United Methodist Church located at 3770 McKelvey Rd, Bridgeton, MO 63044.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to Arlington United Methodist Church in on honor of Shirley.
