She is preceded in death by her parents, William Ray and Eva (nee Keysor) Guthrie; her loving husband, Wayne Gordon Keyes; a sister, Wilma (Joe) Moore; and her faithful companion, Baxter.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Debra Rulo; son, Kenneth Keyes; grandson and the "apple of her eye", Tom Roberts (Jody Allen); and great grandchildren, Tommy, Heather, and Geof Roberts.
Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who was an extremely giving person who loved her flower garden. She was a Christian woman who was always a Kansas girl at heart and loved her Kansas sports teams. She was an advocate for the Republican party during the 1960's and even had Gerald Ford as a guest in her home before he was president! She belonged to a few women's bowling leagues in her past as well.
Friends may visit on Wednesday, February 11 from noon until 1 at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home. Burial will be at Valhalla Cemetery.
