Aaron Leslie Nielsen

Aaron L. Nielsen, 28, died January 16, 2016 in his Colorado Springs home. He was born November 15, 1987 in Detroit, MI the son of Robert Nielsen and Donna (Bell) Zielinski. He attended Roseville Public Schools and in recent years had moved to Colorado in search of peace and fulfillment.

Aaron was truly a gifted and talented young man. Throughout his short years on Earth, he excelled in athletics, music, and computer sciences. Aaron enjoyed the outdoors and often found peace in its beauty and serenity. Aaron will be remembered for his infectious smile, warm hugs, and genuine spirit.

Aaron is survived by his mother, Donna (Tom) Zielinski of Warren and father, Robert (Mary) Nielsen of Baroda; his brothers Jason (Nicole), Bobby (Laura), his sister Jenny (Jon), stepbrothers Eric and Jason (Michelle). He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Ken and Luana Bell, and his paternal grandmother, Heather Nielsen. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Hannah Thompson of Colorado Springs and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of Aaron’s life will be held on Monday, January 25, 2016 at Kaul Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Kaul Funeral Home is located at 28433 Jefferson Ave, Saint Clair Shores, MI 48081.
