Daniel was born on August 6th 1948 in Detroit where he spent his formative years. He went on to attend college at Northern Michigan University, and most recently worked as an Environmental Services Supervisor at Henry Ford Hospital Macomb. Throughout his life, he was known for his hard work, and dedication.
But more than anything, Daniel was a devoted husband and loving father. He loved spending time with his wife and children, sharing stories, playing games, and traveling to obscure festivals in Michigan, such as the Bologna Festival and the Bay Port Fish Sandwich Festival. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.
In his free time, Dan enjoyed working on boats, including twin engine racing boats, and cars. He also enjoyed fishing, tinkering with projects around the house, and playing with the family’s many dogs over the years, most recently his loyal Giant Schnauzer, Diezel. He also enjoyed a good craft beer, particularly Porters and Stouts, especially whilst watching Formula 1 Racing.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Judith Makowski (née Kujawski), his children, Sara & his son-in-law Jacob, Christopher, Evan & his daughter-in-law Megan, and Abby. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him. A celebration of his life will be held at a later time.
