As we knew him…..Mr. Wiekrykas.
He was our lawn cutting customer for over 30 years. He always sent us his payment with a beautiful card (which we have kept a lot of them) and in the card he would right a short note of gratitude, inspiring words or just a hello, I am doing good, how about you guys?
We called him every year around the middle to end of March to make sure he still wanted our services for the upcoming season. He always chuckled and said….”of course. He always knew if we called a little earlier or later than the year before. And our phone call to Mr. Wiekrykas every year was always a good 30-45 minutes long. He loved to talk about his yard, his job at GM and whatever other things were happening in the world. He also was a very generous and kind man. He would send us three jars of honey every year. We appreciated his act of kindness.
It was our great pleasure to have him as our customer and friend for over 30 years.
We just learned today that he had passed.
Mr. Wiekrykas we will miss you dearly!

So sad to hear of Dave's passing. I worked with Dave in the cushion room and trim shop of GM Orion many years ago. He was a nice guy with a good heart, and I have a lot of memories of good conversations and laughs. He was a smart guy...I never could beat him at chess. I still have the neti pot he got me thirty years ago. I'll be thinking about you, Dave.
