Dolores Ann Stefanski

Dolores Ann Stefanski passed away on January 20, 2026, shortly before her 82nd birthday. She was born Dolores Ann Muehldorfer on February 18, 1944 to Frances and Herman Muehldorfer. Dolores married Arthur Stefanski on September 12, 1964 and had been married for almost 60 years when Art passed away in August, 2024. Together they raised two daughters, Laura Kubitz (husband Jody) and Susan Stefanski. Dolores was an amazing “Grandma” to Zachary Kubitz and Matthew Kubitz. She is also survived by her sister Joann Liebling, two nieces and a nephew.

Dolores graduated as a Registered Nurse and later earned a BSN and a Master’s degree in Nursing. Dolores did many different types of nursing throughout her career including hospital nursing, pediatric nursing, teaching, home care and administration. While her daughters were young, she was a very active parent. Dolores stepped up whenever there was a need for parent volunteers, as well as to organize and lead several of their activities. She was very kind and caring and was greatly loved by all who knew her. In her free time, Dolores enjoyed reading, knitting, completing Sudoku puzzles and being with her grandsons. Together with Art, she traveled and spent several winters on Longboat Key, FL where they made many good friends.

A Celebration of Life for Dolores and Art Stefanski will be held April 25, 2026 from 2-4pm at Kaul Funeral Home: 28433 Jefferson Ave, St Clair Shores, MI 48081.
