Edward Roy Dearnley, age 90, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan passed away on April 20, 2022. He was born on January 23, 1932, to the proud parents of Eric and Gladys Dearnley. Edward was the beloved husband to the late Jacqueline Dearnley. He is the loving father to Edward J. (Mary) Dearnley, Michael (Laura) Dearnley and Dawn (William) Larsen. Edward is the cherished grandfather to Stacy Dearnley, Erica (Nick) Farley, David Dearnley, Bryan (Jennifer) Dearnley, Kevin (Jennifer) Dearnley and the late Johnny Herbert. Great-grandfather to Connor, Ethan, Owen, Bruce, Deacon, Olivia, Eliana and Theodore. Edward was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Dearnley. He did a substantial amount of traveling and in his later years he made the annual trip down to Myrtle Beach S.C or Florida and spent the winter months there. One of his favorite things to do was to visit lighthouses or walk the beach. He was in the Air Force where he discovered a love for electronics and ultimately ended up teaching what he loved. Upon leaving the Air Force, he worked at many different locations which included Chrysler Central Engineering, the Chrysler Missile Plant, RCA and ultimately landed at the U.S. Army Tank Automotive Command where he retired as a Systems Analyst in computers. He will be missed by many family members and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 24, 2022, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 pm, at Kaul Funeral Home 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081. Memorial donations in memory of Edward are suggested to Focus on the Family.
